The Teacher

I began teaching in 1996 after a brief stint as a molecular biologist for Baxter Pharmaceuticals. Teaching was supposed to be temporary as I looked for a position in another lab, but once I started teaching I realized I found my calling. I spent five years teaching at Horace Mann High School in Gary, Indiana before moving to Merrillville High School. I enjoyed my years in Gary and met and worked with some great people that were very dedicated.After establishing myself at Merrillville I decided to work towards my Ph.D. in Educational Technology and completed the program in 2009.
